EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and European Commission Vice-President to visit Uzbekistan

AKIPRESS.COM - EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy and Vice-President of the European Commission Josep Borrell will travel to Tashkent to attend the International Conference "Central and South Asia: Regional Connectivity. Challenges and Opportunities" on July 15-17.
Josep Borrell will be accompanied on this visit by EU Special Representative for Central Asia Terhi Hakala, Ambassador at Large for Connectivity at European External Action Service Romana Vlahutin, EU's Envoy for Afghanistan Tomas Niklasson.
The program of the visit also includes meetings with President Shavkat Mirziyoyev, Foreign Ministers of the Central Asian states.
This will be the first visit of Josep Borrell to Uzbekistan and Central Asia.
