3 political parties in Osh demand cancellation of repeat local council election results

AKIPRESS.COM - Three parties that lost repeat local council elections in Osh demand cancellation of election results, Osh local election commission chairman Urmat Attokurov said.
Eight parties ran in the elections and 4 of them - Uluu Jurt, Butun Kyrgyzstan, Kelechek-Future, Nur - did not gain enough votes to overcome 7% election threshold to win seats in the local council.
The petition was signed by representatives of Uluu-Jurt, Butun Kyrgyzstan, Yntymak, which left the race before the day of vote.
"These parties said numerous violations were made during election, including 3 facts of attempted vote buying. These reports are checled by police now. The decision will be made following all checks. There are no reasons to cancel election results right away," Urmat Attokurov said.
