Switzerland donates medical supplies to Mongolia

AKIPRESS.COM - Switzerland is helping Mongolia in the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic, Montsame reports.
Swiss Humanitarian Aid Department sent 40 oxygen ventilators and 45 oxygen concentrators to Ulaanbaatar for a total value of around CHF 700,000. In addition to this delivery of equipment, the SDC also granted CHF 150,000 for the purchase of four portable X-ray machines for the Ministry of Health.
In view of the health situation in Mongolia, and in response to the request for assistance made by the Government of Mongolia, the Swiss Humanitarian Aid has decided to support this country in the fight against the Covid-19 pandemic.
A Swiss Air Transport Service plane took off from Dübendorf on Monday for Ulaanbaatar, carrying two thousand tons of equipment, for a total value of around CHF 700,000. In addition to the 40 oxygen ventilators provided free of charge by the Swiss Army Pharmacy, 45 oxygen concentrators and other supplies were also included in the shipment.
