President Mirziyoyev, Russian FM Lavrov discuss joint projects, situation in Afghanistan

AKIPRESS.COM - President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev received Russian Foreign Minister on the sidelines of the International Conference "Central and South Asia: Regional Connectivity" on July 16 in Tashkent.
The issues of further strengthening of strategic partnership and expansion of multifaceted cooperaiton were discussed during the talks, the president's press service reported.
A special attention was paid to preparation of the upcoming summit, advancement of joint programs and projects, primarily in trade, economic, cultural and humanitarian spheres.
Development of regional cooperation amid deteriorating security situation in Afghanistan was considered.
