Court in Bishkek ruled to deport ex-AUCA President Andrew Kuchins

AKIPRESS.COM - Pervomai district court of Bishkek delivered a verdict against the former president of AUCA Andrew Kuchins. He was found not guilty of smuggling of items, which are applied special rules for movement across the customs border of the Kyrgyz Republic, and drug trafficking.
He was acquitted for lack of crime in his actions.
However, Kuchins was found guilty of possessing illegal drugs or psychotropic substances in small amounts without intention to sell them. He was fined 60,000 soms.
After the sentence comes into legal force, Kuchins must be deported from Kyrgyzstan to the United States.
