Uzbekistan to spend 700 million Euros for modernization of pump stations

AKIPRESS.COM - Uzbekistan will modernize 95 pump stations in Surkhandarya, Kashkadarya, Samarkand, Navoi and Bukhara regions from 146 million Euro foreign loan.
President Shavkat Mirziyoyev held a meeting on July 19 on improvement of infrastructure of agriculture, modernization of pump stations, the president's press service reported.
There are 1,687 pump stations in Uzbekistan. 299 of them are outdated. Modernization of these stations will require 700 million Euros.
The Ministry of Water Resources will hold tenders before the end of the year necessary to buy equipment and will start construction.
