Bishkek authorities plan to buy around 250 buses

AKIPRESS.COM - The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development will allocate 33 million Euros to Bishkek, including 8 million Euro grant. New buses will be purchased and currently available buses will be repaired from these funds.
Around 240-250 buses will be purchased, vice mayor Maksatbek Sazykulov said at the meeting of the Transport, Communications, Architecture and Construction Committee of the Parliament of Kyrgyzstan.
"According to our estimations, we will spend 120,000-130,000 Euros for a bus. A company will be selected through a tender. The agreement does not require from us to buy buses from a certain manufacturer. We will hold a tender and will send proposals to big bus producers," the vice mayor said.
