AKIPRESS.COM - The ceremony of handover of 25,000 doses of QazVac coronavirus vaccine will be held at the Kordai-Akjol border crossing point on July 28. These doses are donated by Kazakhstan.
Minister of Health Alymkadyr Beishenaliev, Ambassador of Kazakhstan Rapil Joshybaev will attend the handover ceremony, the Embassy of Kazakhstan said.
QazVac vaccine was developed by the Biological Safety Research Institute of the Ministry of Education and Science of Kazakhstan and is used since start of 2021 for vaccination inside Kazakhstan.
Clinical trials proved safety of QazVac vaccine and its efficacy rate of more than 90% in prevention of coronavirus infection and severe forms, the Embassy added.
QazVac is recommended for people above 18 years and is administered in 2 doses with 21-day interval.
