Tajikistan receives 2 million doses of CoronaVac vaccine

AKIPRESS.COM - Some 2 million doses of China's CoronaVac vaccine and syringes were delivered to Tajikistan today, which were donated by China, Khovar news agency reported. Tajik Deputy Prime Minister Matlubahon Sattoriyon, First Deputy Health Minister Gafur Muhsinzoda, First Deputy Foreign Minister Husrav Noziri and a representative of the Embassy of China in Dushanbe attended the ceremony.
According to the preliminary agreement reached between the government of Tajikistan and China, 2 million doses of CoronaVac of Sinovac company were delivered to Tajikistan today. These vaccines will be delivered to all districts and towns depending upon target groups and will accelerate the pace of vaccination against coronavirus infection.
Tajikistan expects arrival of AstraZeneca vaccines next week.
More than 4 million doses of coronavirus vaccine were delivered to Tajikistan in total. More than 474,000 were vaccinated.
