Over 3 million doses of Moderna vaccine airlifted to Uzbekistan

AKIPRESS.COM - Some 3 million and 60 doses of Moderna coronavirus vaccine were airlifted to Uzbekistan from the United States, the Ministry of Health reported.
These vaccins were donated by the United States through COVAX program.
The vaccines were receieved by government officials of two countries and representatives of international organizations at Tashkent Airport.
Moderna is one of three vaccines widely used in the United States, one of 5 vaccines approved by WHO.
Upon delivery of Moderna vaccine, the total amout of vaccines delivered to Uzbekistan reached 12,580,060 doses, including 710,000 doses of AstraZeneca vaccine, 370,000 doses of Sputnik V vaccine, 8.5 million doses of ZF-UZ-VAC2001 vaccine.
As of July 28, Uzbekistan has used 6,982,431 doses of coronavirus vaccine. 1,149,687 people are fully vaccinated against COVID-19.
