Bishkek, Apr. 16, 2019. / Kabar /. Kyrgyz President Sooronbay Jeenbekov visited the Pellmeyer agricultural enterprise on Apr. 15 in a suburb of Munich, Germany, the Kyrgyz President’s press service reported.
Enterprise manager Thomas Pellmeyer showed the principle of work on the extraction of biogas from cow manure.
He said that the farm currently contains 200 cows, which, in addition to milk, also provide raw materials for biogas production. The first biogas plant was built in 1996. Since then, the company has become the flagship for the development of the biogas industry and the expansion of renewable energy in Bavaria and Germany.
The head of state, having examined the company with interest, noted that the potential for using renewable energy sources was not disclosed in Kyrgyzstan. In this regard, he said that the experience of the Bavarian agrarians is attractive for the Kyrgyz economy and expressed confidence that the agrarian sector of the Kyrgyz Republic has the opportunity to adopt this positive experience on this type of animal husbandry in the complex use of renewable energy sources.
Jeenbekov expressed great satisfaction with the organization of labor on the farm.
