President Sooronbai Jeenbekov proposed to create joint phytosanitary and veterinary laboratories in Kyrgyzstan at the Kyrgyz-German business forum "Kyrgyzstan and Bavaria: Investment Opportunities," which was held in Munich. Information Policy Department of the Presidential Administration reported.
"Today, Kyrgyz agricultural producers are forced to obtain expensive product quality certificates in other countries to enter European and world markets. I invite you to create joint phytosanitary and veterinary laboratories in Kyrgyzstan," he said.
Kyrgyzstan is the only country in Central Asia that has obtained GSP + status.
"We are grateful for this to the European side. However, further support is needed for the full use of this tool. Kyrgyzstan needs a new type of industry - high-tech, compact and environmentally friendly. We are ready to combine our efforts to create and use new technologies and innovations in the field of green economy, energy conservation, renewable energy sources, bioengineering and nanotechnology," Sooronbai Jeenbekov said.
He noted that attraction of German investments, creation of favorable conditions for business circles, especially for small and medium businesses, is important for Kyrgyzstan. The head of state noted the need to open a representative office of the German economy in Kyrgyzstan, create a business council for strategic cooperation.
