Bishkek, Apr. 16, 2019. / Kabar /. From 10 to 13 April, representatives of the Accounts Chamber of Kyrgyzstan took part in the 15th Procurement, Integrity Management and Openness (PRIMO) Forum in Tashkent, the press service of the department reports.
The forum was attended by economists, government representatives specializing in public procurement from more than 20 countries, as well as the World Bank, the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, the Islamic Development Bank, the Asian Development Bank, the World Trade Organization and other international financial organizations.
At the forum, participants discussed issues of reforming national public procurement systems with a focus on procurement management and their implementation in the framework of public investment projects, and a number of other topics.
During the panel discussions, the participants studied best practices in public procurement management and exchanged experiences and opinions.
Representatives of the Accounts Chamber of the Kyrgyz Republic shared the experience of Kyrgyzstan in the use of analytical data on procurement, and also spoke about the development of a new e-government procurement audit guide with the support of the EBRD.
The event was organized by the Ministry of Finance of Uzbekistan.
The PRIMO Forum has been held since 2005 in the countries of Europe and Central Asia and serves as a platform for the exchange of practical experience in the field of public procurement reform among the participating countries.
