Kyrgyzstan to get $380,000 grant for feasibility study of a halal meat park

AKIPRESS.COM - Islamic Development Bank and Islamic Corporation for the Development of the Private Sector will provide $380,000 grant to Kyrgyzstan to finance feasibility study of a halal meat park in Kyrgyzstan.
Kyrgyz delegation attended the 44th annual meeting of the Islamic Development Bank Group in Marrakesh, Morocco and met with President of IDB Bandar Al Hajjar.
On the sidelines of this meeting, the parties signed a a trilateral grant agreement between Kyrgyzstan, the Islamic Development Bank, and the Islamic Corporation for the Development of the Private Sector for the preparation of a feasibility study for the halal meat park project in the Kyrgyz Republic.
$280,000 will be provided by the IDB, $100,000 from the Islamic Corporation for the Development of the Private Sector.
Additionally, Kyrgyzstan will contribute $50,000 into the field work and logistics expenses.
The halal park is expected to process, package, store meat, and etc.
