Large batch of smuggled batteries detained in Batken region

Attempt to smuggle batteries into the customs territory of the Eurasian Economic Union was suppressed in Batken region of Kyrgyzstan. The State Customs Service reported.
Customs officers detained a heavy truck Renault Premium in Batken. When inspecting the cargo compartment of the vehicle, they found used batteries with a total weight of 22 tons.
"The cost of goods is estimated at 961,895 soms. Batteries were smuggled into Kyrgyzstan from a neighboring state. Materials on the case were sent to the prosecutor's office of Batken region," the message says.
