Fake news circulating online aim to defame and hinder reforms in State Penitentiary System

AKIPRESS.COM - Fake news circulating online aim to defame and hinder the reforms in the State Penitentiary System of Kyrgyzstan conducted by its Chief Melis Turganbayev in the past 2 months, the SPS said in a statement.
The State Penitentiary System said the reports about a riot in the penal colony #47 and "luxury cell" of crime boss Almaz Sulaimanov nicknamed Limonti are fake.
"The penal colony #47 is being renovated on donor and budget funds. Fake news authors pass off one of those renovated conjugal visit rooms as Almaz Sulaimanov's cell," the statement said.
Those websites spreading these fake news have foreign domains, the statement said.
Those behind the fake news will soon be identified and punished, the statement said.
