Schools should be digitalized within Smart School project: President

AKIPRESS.COM - It is necessary to digitalise the basic processes at the schools within the Smart School project, said President Sooronbai Jeenbekov at "Digital Kyrgyzstan: Development of Regions" first telecommunications forum in Osh on April 22.
Electronic queue for admission of children to schools was introduced within the framework of the current project, he noted.
"The control over teachers' work and educational process will be digitalized. For this purpose, the government should complete connection of the remaining schools to the Internet by June 1, 2019. To date, 80% of schools have access to the Internet," the head of the state said.
All socially important institutions of the republic will have an Internet connection soon, said President.
The main criterion to evaluate the activities of heads of the regions will be the requirement to open 1 innovative school in each region. The Education Ministry will develop and approve the special methods and educational standard for that.
Distance learning of such subjects as math, computer science, and foreign languages will be available in remote schools through innovative schools.
