Situation at uranium deposit in Issyk-Kul is stable

Bishkek, Apr. 22, 2019. /Kabar/. The situation is stable at the Tash-Bulak uranium deposit in Issyk-Kul oblast, the Internal Affairs Department of the oblast reported.
The situation in the Kyzyl-Ompol village and at the Tash-Bulak field is stable.
There is no confrontation. Employees are asked not to succumb to provocations, the police said.
The public of Issyk-Kul oblast is against the development of uranium mine at the Tash-Bulak deposit in Issyk-Kul oblast. It will be processed at the Kara-Balta mining complex.
The people believe that the development of the field will seriously harm the ecology of the oblast. Citizens sign the petition and were going to block the road to the field.
Meanwhile, the State Committee for Industry, Energy and Subsoil Use of the country stated that the method of developing the Tash-Bulak uranium deposit will be environmentally friendly.
