First Deputy Prime Minister visits uranium deposit

AKIPRESS.COM - First Deputy Prime Minister Kubatbek Boronov arrived in uranium deposit in Ton district of Issyk-Kul region on April 25, Issyk-Kul government said.
Boronov met with villagers and said that license for mining of the uranium deposit was not issued.
Locals are against uranium mining and want the deposit to be shut down.
Government has earlier ordered to suspend any exploration works at the site.
