Bishkek, Apr. 26, 2019. / Kabar /. Minister of Health of Kyrgyzstan Kosmosbek Cholponbaev met with a delegation from South Korea on attracting investments in the health sector, the press service of the Health Ministry reported.
During the meeting, representatives of the Ministry of Health of the Kyrgyz Republic and representatives of the governmental organization the Korea Overseas Infrastructure & Urban Development Cooperation discussed the possibility of cooperation in the health sector in the framework of the Public-Private Partnership (PPP), the possibilities of building hospitals, building a clinical base for state medical universities, the supply of modern medical equipment, and the exchange of experience between Kyrgyz and South Korean specialists.
"The issues of improving the quality of services in the health care system are closely related to the level of material and technical base, infrastructure development and the availability of modern equipment in the health sector, so we are interested in working with you," the minister said.
Following the meeting, in order to further promote and implement plans for bilateral cooperation, as well as successful implementation of projects in the health sector under PPPs, it was decided to establish a working group to analyze the economic viability of implementing projects in the health sector.
