Bishkek, Apr. 26, 2019. / Kabar /. The State Commission on Religious Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic held a regional meeting with the participation of representatives of state bodies and security agencies from Central Asian countries.
This meeting is aimed at creating a regional consultative working group to strengthen interaction on preventing and countering radicalism and extremism, as well as creating a dialogue platform for jointly discussing priority issues of countering violent extremism in the region.
Representatives of state bodies, media communities, non-governmental and public organizations of Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan take part in this event.
The meeting’s partner is the representative office "Search for Common Ground" in Kyrgyzstan within the framework of the Central Asian Dialogue of Leaders on Reducing Violent Extremism project.
The I International Regional Meeting of the Advisory Working Group "Central Asian Dialogue of Leaders on Reducing Violent Extremism" was held on June 22-23, 2018 in Bishkek, under the auspices of the State Commission for Religious Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic,.
