Bishkek, Apr. 28, 2019. / Kabar /. Kyrgyz President Sooronbay Jeenbekov during his working visit to Beijing, China, visited the SINOMACH engineering corporation and met with chairman of the board, Zhang Xiaolong. He made a short excursion to familiarize himself with the expositions of the corporation, the President’s press service reported.
Zhang Xiaolong briefed about the principles of the work of the corporation, including its participation in investment projects in foreign countries. He stressed interest in establishing and strengthening cooperation with the Kyrgyz side, noting that in Kyrgyzstan the climate for foreign investors is improving.
"Your visit helps our company to establish relations with Kyrgyzstan and its regions," said Zhang Xiaolong, expressing hope and thanking him for visiting the corporation.
The head of state noted that Kyrgyzstan attaches particular importance to the development of friendly and good-neighborly relations with the People’s Republic of China.
"The Kyrgyz side is interested in increasing cooperation with you in the field of direct investments in such sectors as agriculture, energy, mining, processing industry and tourism," said Jeenbekov.
He stressed that in Kyrgyzstan more than 60% of the population lives in rural areas. Much attention is paid to the implementation of projects in the agricultural sector. Government bodies are ready to provide all necessary assistance in the implementation of relevant projects.
During the conversation, the president suggested exploring the possibilities of implementing projects in the Kyrgyz Republic, noting that the law in Kyrgyzstan created the necessary conditions for the implementation of projects of foreign investors.
SINOMACH Corporation is one of the largest state-owned enterprises in China, included in the list of the 500 largest enterprises in the world.
