Bishkek celebrates its 141st anniversary

Bishkek, Apr. 30, 2019. / Kabar /. Bishkek celebrated its 141st birthday on Apr. 29, the press service of the Bishkek Mayor’s Office reported.
From early morning celebrations were held throughout the city.
The main event was a concert of the big symphonic orchestra of the capital's mayor's office, dance groups, artists of the national stage and the orchestra of folk instruments of the Bishkek Mayor’s Office.
Officials of the Bishkek Mayor Aziz Surakmatov and others officials of Kyrgyzstan congratulated the citizens and guests on the City Day.
Mayor Aziz Surakmatov, congratulating the citizens on the holiday, wished them good health, happiness and well-being.
"Dear Bishkek citizens! I sincerely congratulate each of you on the Cidy Day! Bishkek is a special, beloved and native city for all citizens of Kyrgyzstan. Bishkek is the heritage of all our people, all of Kyrgyzstan. I am confident that the capital will continue to develop in all directions. I wish you all good health, happiness and well-being," the mayor said.
Almaz Kenenbayev, Deputy Head of the President’s Office of the Kyrgyz Republic, read out congratulations on behalf of President of the Kyrgyz Republic Sooronbay Jeenbekov.
After official congratulations a concert of domestic artists was held.
Russian singer Sogdiana and artistic director of the Uzbek vocal-instrumental ensemble "Yalla" Farrukh Zakirov became the feature of the festive evening.
The culmination of the festive evening was the 6-minute colorful fireworks.
