President Tokayev visits urban planning center in Almaty

AKIPRESS.COM - President of Kazakhstan Kasym-Jomart Tokayev on April 30 visited the urban planning center as part of working visit to Almaty, where he was briefed about activities of the digital geoinformation center, Almaty general layout research institute, Almaty development center, Open Almaty public liaison office, Akorda reports. The President was familiarized with plans of further development of the urban space and was presented a 3D city model.
The President was also introduced to the main infrastructure projects in the industrial zone of Almaty. 39 projects for over $378 million are implemented there, 5,000 work places were created with Japanese, Korean, Chinese, German and other foreign investments. Particularly, the industrial zone hosts Hyundai Trans Kazakhstan, Falcon Euro Bus, Tokyo Rope Almaty, light industry enterprises, waste recycling complex.
