Free trade zones of Kyrgyzstan almost don't work: Minister

AKIPRESS.COM - Free trade zones of Kyrgyzstan almost don't work, said Economy Minister Oleg Pankratov at the round table discussion in Bishkek.
Bishkek FTZ functions today, and creation of Naryn free trade zone as part of the EAEU is eyed.
Deputy Economy Minister Eldar Abakirov told about reforms to support business. Creation of business ombudsman is aimed at protection of interests of entrepreneurs, he said.
He also reminded of the moratorium introduced to suspend extra-checks of businesses, facilitation of the license and permits issuance. VAT on businesses was decreased from 10% to 3%.
The other measures to support entrepreneurs in Kyrgyzstan include creation of centers for providing services to entrepreneurs, adoption of program for export development, implementation of 15 PPP projects, and financing of agricultural products based on pledge.
