AKIPRESS.COM - Doctors involved in illegal freeing of crime boss Aziz Batukayev from prison were arrested for 2 months, police said.
The Pervomay district court of Bishkek ruled to keep them for 2 months in the remand prison #1.
Probe into illegal release of crime boss Aziz Batukayev from prison was resumed in January 2019, Prosecutor General Otkurbek Jamshitov said.
On August 3, 2006, Batukayev was sentenced to 16.8 years in prison for his role in the murder of MP Tynychbek Akmatbayev, Chief of State Penitentiary Service Ikmatulla Polotov, 2 workers of the Parliament in October 2005 during mass disorders in the penal colony in Moldovanovka village.
Batukayev served a half of his term with 8.3 years term remaining when he was released from prison by the decision of Naryn district court of April 9, 2013, over leukemia diagnosis. The same day Batukayev fled Kyrgyzstan on a private plane. He was declared internationally wanted on May 6, 2014.
