Bishkek, May 3, 2019. / Kabar /. Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan Chingiz Aidarbekov paid official visit to Hungary at the invitation of Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade of Hungary Peter Siyarto.
The press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic reported that during the official talks of the two ministers, the sides noted with satisfaction the development of bilateral cooperation, which was greatly imparted by the official visit of Hungarian Prime Minister Victor Orban to Kyrgyzstan in 2018.
The sides discussed the progress in implementing the agreements of the two countries, noting progress in a number of areas of bilateral cooperation, including the planned first meeting of the bilateral Intergovernmental Commission on Trade and Economic Cooperation in Bishkek, expansion of the legal framework between the two countries.
The Hungarian side confirmed the invitation to the President of the Kyrgyz Republic to pay an official visit to Hungary and voiced readiness to open its diplomatic representation in Bishkek.
In order to further strengthen and increase trade and economic cooperation between the two countries, the sides discussed possible mechanisms for creating a joint direct investment fund.
The sides noted the similarity of positions on key issues on the international agenda. An exchange of views took place on the interaction of the two countries at the sites of the UN, OSCE, EU, CCTS and other international organizations.
Siyarto accepted the invitation of Aidarbekov to pay a return official visit to Kyrgyzstan at any time convenient for him.
Following the meeting, a joint press conference was held for representatives of local and foreign media.
