Bishkek, May 3, 2019. / Kabar /. The second session of the People's Assembly of Kyrgyzstan resolved a number of important issues related to the changes in the Charter of the Assembly. In addition, the participants read out the reports and delegates from Kurultai also took the floor and representatives of the Jogorku Kenesh spoke at the event.
"I would like to congratulate everyone on the 25th anniversary of the establishment of the People's Assembly of Kyrgyzstan on behalf of the Jogorku Kenesh of the Kyrgyz Republic. It is gratifying that, while celebrating the anniversary of the Assembly of Kyrgyzstan, we are participating in the kurultai "We are Kyrgyzstanis". The name speaks for itself - Kyrgyzstan is home to everyone who lives and works here. We do not divide people into nationalities, we celebrate all holidays, and we rejoice at the successes of our compatriots. We should remember that we all share a common destiny and a common present," Samat Ibrayev, Chief of Staff of the Jogorku Kenesh said in his opening speech.
In addition, representatives of various diasporas and active participants in the Assembly were awarded valuable prizes and certificates during the event.

Social and cultural associations of ethnic groups living in the republic began to be formed when Kyrgyzstan gained independence in the 90s. The first national kurultai adopted a declaration entitled "Unity. Peace. Consent" and the Assembly's statutes were approved in 1994.The People's Assembly has proved its irreplaceable role during this time. The Assembly actively participates in the life of the society for 25 years," noted Altynay Omurbekova, the Deputy Prime Minister of the Kyrgyz Republic.
Earlier the President of Kyrgyzstan Sooronbay Jeenbekov stated that the People's Assembly of Kyrgyzstan is the force that increases the values of national unity, preserving them for future generations.
