AKIPRESS.COM - As of May 1, 2019, 344 veterans of the Great Patriotic War, including 86 disabled veterans, 217 participants, 17 minor prisoners of concentration camps and 24 survivors of the Siege of Leningrad live in Kyrgyzstan, according to the Ministry of Social Development. 2123 homefront workers, 4 labor soldiers, 9 families of the killed participants of the Great Patriotic War live in the country.
World War II veterans receive monthly money compensations instead of allowances since January 1, 2019. People with disabilities and World War II veterans, as well as survivors of the Siege of Leningrad and prisoners of concentration camps receive 7,000 soms; Labour Army members and homefront workers with disabilities receive 2,000 soms; widows of men killed in Great Patriotic War and homefront workers receive 1,000 soms.
In addition, people with disabilities and World War II participants, survivors of the Siege of Leningrad and prisoners of concentration camps receive monthly lifelong President's stipend of 10,000 soms established by Presidential decree since 2010.
The state budget annually allocates one time money allowances on May 9. People with disabilities and World War II veterans, as well as survivors of the Siege of Leningrad and minor prisoners of concentration camps receive 15,000 soms; Labour Army members and homefront workers with disabilities receive, widows of killed in Great Patriotic War, as well as homefront workers receive 10,000 soms.
