Fuel prices in Kyrgyzstan expected to grow by 10-15% in May

AKIPRESS.COM - Prices for fuel and lubricants in Kyrgyzstan are expected to grow by 10-15% in May depending on the type of fuel, the Association of Oil Traders of Kyrgyzstan said.
Wholesale selling prices are seen sharply increasing in Russian oil products market, the statement said.
The increase in the price for fuel and lubricants at Russian refineries under wholesale contracts for May compared with January of the current year ranged from 10 to 32%.
Growth in wholesale prices for petroleum products in Russia came from increased demand for fuel due to a seasonal increase in the consumption.
At the same time, there were prerequisites for a rise in prices at oil refineries, taking into account the dynamics of oil prices on the world market since the beginning of the current year (an increase of $16.41 per barrel or 30%). Oil traders of Kyrgyzstan intend to continue the policy of preventing price hikes.
