AKIPRESS.COM - First Deputy Prime Minister Kubatbek Boronov criticized poor implementation of the tasks on the development of 20 growth-point cities during the working meeting to discuss the programs of socio-economic development of regions.
The meeting focused on ongoing implementation of the president's decree on declaring 2019 the Year of Regional Development and Digitalization.
The First Deputy Prime Minister drew the attention of the heads of ministries and departments to the need to closely link sectoral activities, namely, road construction, energy development, education, health and tourism, and the development of pilot cities of growth points.
Particular attention should be paid to infrastructure and business projects that affect the development of the territorial economy, he said.
Boronov tasked mayor of each city to promptly develop an annual and five-year plan for the development of the region and attract investment with the elimination of all shortcomings hindering the active development of the selected cities.
