President Jeenbekov walks around Victory Square and talks with war veterans

Bishkek, May 9, 2019. / Kabar /. Kyrgyz President Sooronbay Jeenbekov took part on Thursday in a meeting-requiem in honor of the 74th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War, which took place in Bishkek, his press service reported.
On the Victory Square, where the meeting-requiem is held, President Sooronbay Jeenbekov, Prime Minister Mukhammedkalyi Abylgaziev, Speaker of the Jogorku Kenesh Dastanbek Dzhumabekov, Chief Justice of the Supreme Court Gulbara Kaliyeva, ex-President Roza Otunbayeva, Chief of the General Staff Rayimberdi Duishenbiev laid flowers on the Eternal Fire and honored the memory of those killed in World War II with a minute of silence
A solemn parade of the Bishkek garrison troops took place.
At the end of the event, President Sooronbay Jeenbekov walked around the square and talked with veterans.
Representatives of the diplomatic corps of foreign countries, representatives of state bodies, the municipality, guests and residents of the capital, who laid flowers at the Eternal Flame, also took part in the meeting-requiem.
