Daniel Rosenblum swear-in as U.S. Ambassador to Uzbekistan

AKIPRESS.COM - Daniel Rosenblum is America's new Ambassador to Uzbekistan. His swearing-in ceremony took place at the State Department on May 9, Voice of America reports. Earlier his nomination was confirmed by the U.S. Senate Committee on Foreign Relations.
In his remarks after the ceremony Ambassador Rosenblum said his priority will be deepening of security partnership with Uzbekistan, support of ambitious economic reforms, to help US companies to sell their services and goods and use investment opportunities in Uzbekistan, protection of basic human rights, broaden engagements between citizens of two countries.
Daniel Rosenblum will arrive in Uzbekistan before the end of May, where he will present his letters of credence to President Shavkat Mirziyoyev.
The term of previous U.S. Ambassador Pamela Spratlen expired in June 2018.
