Bishkek to host SCO culture ministers’ meeting

Bishkek, May 15, 2019 / Kabar /. The XVI Meeting of Ministers of Culture of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization member states will be held on May 15, 2019 in Bishkek.
During the meeting, the sides will discuss: the state and prospects of cooperation in the field of culture for the implementation of the Agreement between the governments of the SCO member states, cooperation in the field of culture within the SCO, the inclusion of cultural heritage sites of the SCO member states in the UNESCO World Heritage List and the International Festival "SilkRoadFest" in the SCO member states in 2021.
The meeting will be attended by Minister of Culture of Tajikistan Orumbek Shamsudin Shodibek, First Deputy Minister of Culture of Uzbekistan Ozodbek Nazarbekov, Minister of Culture and Sports of Kazakhstan Arystanbek Muhamediuly, Deputy Minister of Culture of Russia Nikolay Ovsienko, member of the governing structure of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of China Wang Xiofeng, Deputy Minister of Culture of India Sri Arun Goel and Deputy Secretary General of the SCO Xie Xiaoyun.
