Kyrgyz Parliament Speaker meets with Chairman of State Duma of Russia Vyacheslav Volodin

Bishkek, May 19, 2019. /Kabar/. On the eve of the extraordinary meeting of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) Parliamentary Assembly Council Speaker of the Jogorku Kenesh Dastanbek Dzhumabekov met with Chairman of the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation Vyacheslav Volodin, the press service of the Kyrgyz parliament reported.
Greeting the delegation of the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russia led by Vyacheslav Volodin, Dzhumabekov noted that holding the meeting of the Council of the CSTO Parliamentary Assembly in Bishkek is a pleasant and honorable mission for the Kyrgyz Parliament.
Speaker Dzhumabekov noted the state visit of Russian President Vladimir Putin to Kyrgyzstan in March of this year, during which the sides signed a significant package of agreements aimed at further strengthening and deepening of Kyrgyz-Russian cooperation.
"We are deeply grateful for the decisions taken on the application of the "migratory amnesty" to the citizens of Kyrgyzstan, workers in Russia, their withdrawal from the "black list", as well as the removal from further consideration of the ban on driving our workers in Russia on the basis of foreign national driver's licenses. In the context of the above, I am particularly pleased to note your personal attention and contribution to strengthening Kyrgyz-Russian relations," the Kyrgyz apeaker said, addressing the chairman of the State Duma.
"Taking into account the challenges and threats of the 21st century, there is need to note the existing high level of military and military-technical cooperation between Kyrgyzstan and Russia, including within the framework of the CSTO and its Parliamentary Assembly. I am confident that the further expansion of the CSTO Parliamentary Assembly, as well as the constructive interaction of the parliaments of the Organization’s member states, will contribute to the strengthening of regional stability and security," Dzhumabekov added .
"We meet regularly and always look for an opportunity to communicate on the margins of the Parliamentary Assembly, especially in the run-up to the CSTO Parliamentary Assembly Council meeting. There is an importance for us to know your vision of the organization’s development and implementation of the goals set within the framework of the CSTO. As for the inter-parliamentary cooperation, their dynamism makes it possible to ensure the implementation of the agreements reached and to do everything so that the peoples of the two countries better understand each other," Head of the State Duma Volodin said.
The sides agreed to develop cooperation in the field of education, humanitarian projects and culture at the meeting.
