Kyrgyz FM Aidarbekov: Relations between Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan develop dynamically and at highest level

Bishkek, May 20, 2019. /Kabar/. The relations between Kyrgyzstan and Kazakhstan are developing dynamically and at the highest level, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan Chingiz Aidarbekov said during the extended format meeting with Kazakh Foreign Minister Beibut Atamkulov, who is on an official visit to Bishkek.
During the meeting Aidarbekov wished to successfully hold the planned early presidential elections in Kazakhstan.
"The most important thing is that the course set by first President of Kazakhstan, Nursultan Nazarbayev, should be continued as a result of these elections," Aidarbekov said. Kyrgyzstan is always warm to brotherly Kazakhstan. We are looking forward to the outcome of these elections with the best of heart."
"We have contacts at all levels. The heads of state met several times last year, and the prime ministers held the seventh meeting of the intergovernmental council. Ministers, committees and departments solve daily issues. The issues that arise between the neighboring states are largely resolved constructively and promptly. We have already discussed a number of topical issues in a narrow format, found joint definitions and ways to solve them and further promote them. And now, I think we will walk through each item in detail," Aidarbekov added.
The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic also pointed out that cooperation between neighboring countries is not only bilateral but also multilateral.
"We note with gratitude the support provided to us by the Kazakh side through such organizations as the Shanghai Cooperation Organization, Collective Security Treaty Organization, Parliamentary Assembly of Turkic Speaking Countries, where Kyrgyzstan holds the chairmanship. We are working closely and preparing for the SCO Summit in Kyrgyzstan. We are preparing for the arrival of the SCO Heads of State," he stressed.
"We also noted the importance of the next intergovernmental council. We are waiting for the Chairman of the Parliamentary Council of Kazakhstan in Kyrgyzstan. We have discussed with you a cooperation issues at the regional level. And these are the topical issues that are on the agenda," he concluded.
