Bishkek, May 21, 2019. /Kabar/. China will support the National Strategy for Sustainable Development of Kyrgyzstan, Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi, who is on an official visit to Kyrgyzstan, said at a briefing on the results of a meeting with Kyrgyz Foreign Minister Chingiz Aidarbekov.
The Chinese Foreign Minister noted that the Chinese side highly appreciates the nomination of the National Development Strategy by President Sooronbay Jeenbekov.
"We will assist as a great friend and good neighbour as much as we can. It is very useful for the people of Kyrgyzstan to achieve rapid development and the power of their country as quickly as possible," Wang Yi said.
The Foreign Minister of China also noted that in the future the Chinese-Kyrgyz relations should embody the following four key words.
"The first is the preservation of stability. The second is to adhere to the principles of equality. Third, there is importance to deepen cooperation. We will jointly implement cooperation at the highest level within the framework of the Belt and Road Initiative and the National Strategy for Sustainable Development of Kyrgyzstan. Fourth is security. Both countries have agreed to fight against the three forces of evil. We must deepen our cooperation in the fight against terrorism, transnational organized crime and ensure cyber security and safety in the organization of major events," he added.
In addition, Wang Yi stressed that comprehensive strategic partnership between the two countries has been established thanks to the strategic direction of Chinese President Xi Jinping and President of Kyrgyzstan Sooronbay Jeenbekov.
"We have a new stage in our bilateral relationship. We appreciate Kyrgyzstan's support and the domestic and foreign policy with the Chinese government. This is about commitment to the principles of One China, as well as understanding and support for the measures we have taken in Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region for deradicalization. We will also support Kyrgyzstan's efforts to ensure national stability, economic development, and public welfare," he concluded.
