Kyrgyz Government allocates 2 bln soms for development of regions

Bishkek, May 27, 2019. /Kabar/. A regular meeting of the organizing committee for the Year of Regional Development and Digitalization of the country was held under the chairmanship of First Deputy Prime Minister of the Kyrgyz Republic Kubatbek Boronov, the Government’s press service reported.
During the meeting participants considered the issues related to the Action Plan for the implementation of the Decree of the President of the Kyrgyz Republic "On Declaring 2019 as the Year of Development of Regions and Digitalization of the Country" and the Concept of the Regional Policy of the Kyrgyz Republic for the 2018-2022 period, as well as the results of the work on the preparation of the action plan of ministries and departments for the development of 20 "growth points" cities.
Avtandil Alybayev, the Deputy Minister of Economy of the Kyrgyz Republic said that the Law of the Kyrgyz Republic "On Amendments to the Tax Code of the Kyrgyz Republic" was adopted for Preferred Localities in order to stimulate the inflow of investments into regional projects and enterprises of the regions.
In addition, participants noted that the implementation of the Unified Regional five-year Action Plan for the implementation of the Decree of the President of the Kyrgyz Republic "On Declaring 2019 as the Year of Development of Regions and Digitalization of the Country" and the Concept of the Regional Policy of the Kyrgyz Republic for 2018-2022 years is ongoing.
Mayors of Tokmok Daniyar Amangeldiyev and Talas Aidar Juzupbekov spoke about the results of the preparation of the action plan of the ministries and departments for the development of 20 "growth points" cities.
After hearing information, Boronov emphasized that a number of tasks, aimed at the development of regions, including through the implementation of the action plan for the development of 20 "growth points" cities were defined in the context of the Decree of the Kyrgyz President for 2019
"There is need to carry out constant work aimed at attracting investments into the economy of regions and cities of the republic. Relevant authorities should take timely measures to implement approved programs of urban development. Thus Programs of social development of cities should be consonant with the Action Plans on development developed by ministries and departments. The Government of the Kyrgyz Republic allocates 2 billion soms for the development of regions this year," he stressed.
