Nursultan Nazarbayev becomes lifelong Honorary President of Turkic Council

AKIPRESS.COM - First President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev has gained a status of lifelong Honorary President of the Turkic Council, the Ministry of Culture of Kyrgyzstan said. Such initiative came from President of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdogan. His initiative was supposed by the leaders of the Turkic Council member states in order to recognize a key role of Nursultan Nazarbayev in rapprochement of the Turkic speaking world since 1990-s and establishment of such facilities as the Turkic Council, Turkic Parliamentary Assembly, Turkic Academy.
This announcement was made by Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu at the meeting with Nursultan Nazarbayev in Nur-Sultan on May 24.
