Bishkek, May 30, 2019. /Kabar/. Deputy Prime Minister of the Kyrgyz Republic Zamirbek Askarov held session of the Coordination Council for Cooperation with Development Partners under the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic, the Government’s press service reported.
"There is need to note some progress in promoting the previously discussed issues within the framework of the activities of this advisory body. Thus, the Regulation on Public Investment Management was approved. I am confident that the adoption of this Regulation will significantly improve the work of ministries and agencies to promote public investment projects, and will be useful for development partners," Deputy Prime Minister Zamirbek Askarov said.
"The National Water Council session was held on May 14. Topical issues in this sphere were discussed and certain decisions were made. I urge you, development partners, to assist and support the implementation of the identified plans," he said.
Askarov emphasized the importance of the donor conference initiated by President of the Kyrgyz Republic Sooronbay Jeenbekov.
"Today we offer the presentation on the digital transformation of the Kyrgyz Republic. We know how relevant is this topic and its priority for Kyrgyz President Sooronbay Jeenbekov and the Government of the country," Co-Chairwoman of Coordination Council, the World Bank Country Manager for the Kyrgyz Republic Bolormaa Amgaabazar.
The issues of digital transformation, the Government Plan of the Kyrgyz Republic on the implementation of the program of activities of the Government for 2019-2023, as well as the issues of establishment of the Road Map for Water Resources Development were discussed within the framework of the Coordination Council session.
At the end of the session of the Coordination Council for Cooperation with Development Partners, Deputy Prime Minister Zamirbek Askarov expressed gratitude to development partners for their support of the Kyrgyz Government's initiatives and their contribution to the development of the national economy.
