Bishkek, May 31, 2019. / Kabar /. An official opening of one more clinic for patients with kidney disease was held today in Bishkek. It became the second in the capital, and the last of the four dialysis centers in the Kyrgyz Republic, provided for under the public-private partnership (PPP) agreement between Fresenius Medical Care and the Ministry of Health of the Kyrgyz Republic.
According to the press service of the medical institution, dialysis clinics were previously opened in Jalal-Abad (October 8, 2018), in Bishkek (February 1, 2019 ) and Osh (April 24, 2019).
The new dialysis center in Bishkek is equipped with modern devices.
"The dialysis center employs qualified staff, including doctors, nurses and technicians. All of them have completed additional training and advanced training programs, which ensures compliance with high quality standards operating at Fresenius Medical Care," said Konstantin Schwarzkopf, spokesman for the international clinic in Kyrgyzstan.
Dialysis clinics at Fresenius Medical Care in the Kyrgyz Republic opened in accordance with an agreement on the organization of dialysis services in Kyrgyzstan as part of a public-private partnership project. This agreement was signed in August 2017 between Fresenius Medical Care and the Ministry of Health of the Kyrgyz Republic. This is the first project that was implemented under the PPP mechanism in Kyrgyzstan.
The project was prepared with financial support from KfW and advice from the International Finance Corporation (IFC), a member of the World Bank Group, as well as the governments of Germany, Austria, Hungary and Switzerland. The total investment in this project was more than USD 10 million.
The opening of dialysis centers in Bishkek, Osh and Jalal-Abad has significantly improved the care of many patients who have chronic renal failure: they have access to free medical care that meets advanced international standards. In addition, as a result of the opening of clinics in Kyrgyzstan, about 100 new jobs appeared.
