President of Turkmenistan receives Deputy Prime Minister of Kyrgyzstan

Bishkek, May 31, 2019. / Kabar /. Deputy Prime Minister of the Kyrgyz Republic Zhenish Razakov was received by President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedow, the Kyrgyz Government’s press service reported.
"I ask you to convey my best wishes to my friend and brother, President of the Kyrgyz Republic Sooronbay Jeenbekov. We are brothers - neighbors, we live in one region and we must support each other. There is a large unrealized potential between us both in the trade and economic, and in the cultural and humanitarian spheres. We need to use it, including taking into account the potential of the Intergovernmental Commission," Berdimuhamedow said.
In turn, Razakov supported the importance of further enhancing cooperation, as well as expanding and strengthening strategic partnership in all areas of mutual interest.
During the conversation, he proposed to hold a regular meeting of the Intergovernmental Kyrgyz-Turkmen Commission on Trade, Economic, Scientific, Technical and Humanitarian Cooperation in the second half of 2019 in the Kyrgyz Republic.
The President of Turkmenistan invited the Kyrgyz side to take part in the events of the upcoming First Caspian Economic Forum, as well as the exhibition, which will be organized as part of the forum.
During the meeting, the sides also discussed cooperation in the water and energy sector, oil and gas and textile and transport and logistics industries.
The meeting was held within the framework of the meeting of the Council of Heads of Government of the Commonwealth of Independent States held in Ashgabat.
