President Jeenbekov, outgoing UNICEF Representative discuss cooperation in protection of children

AKIPRESS.COM - President Sooronbai Jeenbekov noted a productive cooperation with UNICEF aimed to support the efforts of the government in protection of children at a meeting with outgoing UNICEF Representative Yukie Mokuo today. Kyrgyzstan remains committed to achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals and further stable development of the state, including improvement of children's position, President Sooronbai Jeenbekov stated.
"Each child in Kyrgyzstan should live and develop in family. The state will make all possible efforts to shape a society with healthy and educated children, who will serve as the basis for future development of the country," President Sooronbai Jeenbekov stated.
The President thanked UNICEF for conduct of the national campaign Tumar aimed at protection of children from violence. The campaign was launched on June 1.
The UNICEF Representative noted a productive cooperation with government agencies.
