Bishkek, June 5, 2019. /Kabar/. Mayor of Bishkek Aziz Surakmatov on June 4 visited the Ak-Kula racetrack and parks, which are planned to be reconstructed, the press service of the Bishkek Mayor’s Office reported.
Mayor Surakmatov, Kyrgyz Minister of Culture, Information and Tourism Azamat Jamankulov, deputy mayors and involved structures of the municipality got acquainted with the conditions of the racetrack and discussed the issue of its furhter operation.
The racetrack was built in 1947 by the author's design by Honored Architect of the Kyrgyz Republic Nusov.
Then Aziz Surakmatov got acquainted with the possibility of building a bicycle lane in the western part of the capital. The mayor also got acquainted with sketches of two parks, where a large-scale reconstruction is planned. The Department of Capital Construction and BishkekGeneralArchitecture Municipal Enterprisebriefed the mayor on the project of the future park.
The first park’s area is 10.8 hectares, the other’s makes 7.426 hectares.
Construction of children's playgrounds and other elements of improvement, as well as the placement of a public toilet are also envisaged. The construction of workout sites is mandatory.
