Bishkek, June 6, 2019. /Kabar/. Ambassador of Kyrgyzstan to China Kanaiym Baktygulova met with Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Rural Affairs of the People's Republic of China, Qu Dongyu on June 4.
The sides discussed issues of bilateral cooperation in the field of agriculture and interaction within the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO), the United Nations and other organizations, the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan reported.
Baktygulova told about Kyrgyzstan's investment policy and export potential, handed over investment projects in the agricultural sector and invited a delegation from Chinese Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs to visit Kyrgyzstan to study proposals for cooperation. The ambassador also noted the planned signing of a number of bilateral documents in the field of agriculture and agricultural product’s export from Kyrgyzstan to China as part of the upcoming state visit of Chinese President Xi Jinping to the Kyrgyz Republic in June 2019.
Qu Dongyu proposed to intensify bilateral cooperation in agriculture in the fields of science and technology, training, food security, livestock, environmental protection, rural improvement, combating transboundary animal and plant diseases, as well as part of the South-South Cooperation Fund.
