New UNICEF representative named in Kazakhstan

AKIPRESS.COM - Arthur van Diesen has been appointed as a new representative of the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF) in Kazakhstan replacing in this post Yury Oksamitny, who has been worked for 4 years.
The new UNICEF representative is a citizen of the Netherlands. Prior to this, he served as a Regional Adviser for UNICEF Social Policy in the Middle East and North Africa (2015-2019) and Deputy representative for UNICEF in Tajikistan (2010-2015).
Before joining UNICEF, Arthur van Diesen worked in the UK Department for International Development, UNDP, and several international non-governmental organizations. He worked and lived in Africa, South and Central Asia and the Middle East.
Arthur van Diesen is married and has three daughters and a son.
