Delegation from Kyrgyzstan participates in meeting of SCO heads of border services in Tashkent

Tashkent, June 6, 2019. /Kabar/. Delegation from Kyrgyzstan, led by Abdikarim Alimbayev, the First Deputy Chairman of the State Border Service took part in the VII meeting of heads of border services of competitive authorities of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) in Tashkent, the correspondent of the Kabar News Agency reported from the venue of the event.
Representatives of the border services of the competent authorities of India, Kazakhstan, China, Pakistan, Russia, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, the Coordination Service of the Council of Commanders of the Border Troops of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) member states and the Executive Committee of the SCO Regional Anti-Terroristic Structure also took part in the meeting.
The participants exchanged information on the situation at the state borders of the SCO member states. They discussed and highly appreciated the results of the joint SCO Unity 2018 border operation held in 2018.
They considered and approved the Solidarity - 2019-2021 Plan for the preparation and implementation of the first phase of the joint border control operation of the SCO Border Services in 2019, as well as determined the organizer of the second phase of this operation for 2020.
The professional exchange of views and elaboration of common positions on the issues of counteracting new challenges and threats on the borders of the organization will contribute to the development of cooperation between the border services of the competent authorities of the SCO member states.
The eighth meeting of the heads of border services of the competent authorities of the SCO member states will be held in Tajikistan next year.
