Almost 8 thsd foreigners receive work permits in Kyrgyzstan

Bishkek, June 6, 2019. /Kabar/. 7 thousand 85 foreign nationals have received work permits since the beginning of the year, Meerim Bekozhoyeva, the Chief specialist of the department for work with foreign citizens of the State Migration Service told during the press conference at Kabar News Agency.
80 % of these are citizens of the People’s Republic of China, this is explained by the fact that the representative office of the China Road Chinese company is engaged in reconstructing of roads in Bishkek and throughout the country.
"There are also many organizations in the country that attract specialists from China. For example, the construction of oil refineries in Kara-Balta, Tokmok, as well as the construction of a gold mining plant in Orlovka. Turkish citizens are in second place in getting work permits, followed by Korean and US citizens," Bekozhoyeva said.
The country's budget has received KGS 33 million because of issuing work permits to foreigners since the beginning of the year. "At the end of last year, the revenues for issuing permits amounted to 53 million soms. Thus, the introduction of new tariffs ensured the increase in these revenues," she chief specialist said.
