Uzbekistan plans to return around 3,000 of its citizens from Middle East

AKIPRESS.COM - Chairman of the Central Administration of Muslims of Uzbekistan Mufti Usmonhon Alimov said around 3,000 citizens of Uzbekistan are in hostilities zone in Middle East. On May 30, the government of Uzbekistan said 156 citizens of Uzbekistan, mainly women ans children, were evacuated from Syria.
"According to our estimations, their number makes around 3,000. We should bring them back home," the Mufti said.
The number of citizens of Uzbekistan in the Al Hawl camp varies between 150-500 people.
