Deputy Minister of Interior of Kazakhstan apologizes for journalist attack in Almaty

AKIPRESS.COM - "Journalist Shokan Alkhbayev was standing too close to security forces during their work on elimination of manifestations. I apologize for such incident," zakon.kz reports as Deputy Minister of Interior of Kazakhstan Marat Kojayev saying. According to him, the incident occurred near the Sairan bus station.
The law enforcement officers did not notice the journalist among demonstrators, because Alkhabayev wore no special identification document of a journalist. Therefore, the swat team at night detained the journalist together with the other protesters, as Kojayev said.
"At such moments, anything can happen. I apologize from the Ministry of Interior for such incident, but here is my fault partially. We must clearly see that they are journalists," the Deputy Minister added.
